Dear Members,
Summer is here bringing busy weekends, outdoor adventures, and vacation plans. With that in mind, this newsletter includes a few reminders about AIG Travel Medical Insurance to help keep you prepared while you’re away.
UA 67 Benefits is also launching in August the “Going Digital” campaign to boost enrolment on the GreenShield platform and encourage members to set up direct deposit for reimbursements. Not only does this give you faster access to your claims, but it also helps the Plan reduce costs, as manual claims are more expensive to process. Members who have not yet created a GreenShield+ online account or set up direct deposit will be eligible to enter a draw, with the winner announced at the Membership Meeting.
In addition to the details about the “Going Digital” draw, you’ll find the updated rates for GreenShield counselling and health coaching services, and a few reminders about the Pension and Welfare Plans.
We would like to congratulate John Noseworthy for completing his FTMS course and Braedan McIntyre for completing his ATMS-B course last May. Continuing education for trustees reflects their ongoing commitment to being well prepared to better serve the membership.

Travelling this Summer? Things to know about AIG.
AIG is our group medical emergency insurance carrier. No coverage is provided for baggage loss or flight cancellation.
You don’t need to inform them about your trip plans in advance.
Make sure you have your AIG card with you. In case of an emergency, you will need the assistance contact number and the policy number.

GreenShield Going Digital Draw
Follow step 1 to be entered into the draw. Complete both steps to earn two entries. Go to greenshieldplus.ca

- Create your online account.
- Send an email to info@ua67benefits.ca informing us of your registration.
STEP 2
- Go to greenshieldplus.ca
- Set up Direct Deposit as your prefered payment method.
- Send an email to info@ua67benefits.ca informing us of your registration.
The winner will be announced at the Membership Meeting in November.
GreenShield
Plan members can access mental health services through GreenShield+, which offers both complimentary and fee-based options. Complimentary services include access to Digital Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and their Well-being program. Counselling is available as a fee-based service. Effective July 1, 2026, GreenShield counselling and health coaching rates were updated for the first time in four years. The updated rates are:
- $110 for 60‑minute video sessions
- $125 for in-person counselling and coaching
Reminders
- Please keep your personal information and forms updated with UA Local 67 Benefits. Changes in your address, marital status and/or dependents should be communicated.
- You cannot change your Pension beneficiary once you have started receiving your Pension.
- Children aged 21-24 must be full-time students at an accredited institution to remain in the plan as a dependent. Proof of attendance is required annually.
