Coverage
Hearing Aids or Replacement Parts
A doctor’s prescription and an audiogram are required.
Does not include:
- Repairs
- Batteries
- Hearing/Ear tests
$500 maximum every 5 calendar years
Speech Therapy
Speech therapy is covered within Paramedical Services, which includes 80% reimbursement up to $400 combined annual maximum (shared with other paramedical services) per person.
You can also claim out-of-pocket payments for speech therapy through your Health Care Spending Account.

Important Things To Know
Hearing aids and other devices may be eligible under the provincial Assistive Devices Program (ADP) for those who qualify. Be sure to check your eligibility to take advantage of this additional coverage.
If you are eligible for the Assistive Devices Program, GreenShield will require you to submit your claim there first.
