Assistive Devices Program (ADP)

If you require a medical device, you may qualify for benefits through the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care’s Assistive Devices Program (ADP).

For more information on how to qualify, apply, and find a vendor for these types of equipment and supplies, please visit the Assistive Devices Program page.

Please note that ADP is the primary payor for eligible assistive devices, and GreenShield acts as the secondary payer. In these cases, GreenShield will only approve claims that have also been approved by ADP. However, a denied claim may still be eligible as an expense under your Health Care Spending Account (HCSA). GreenShield will require you to apply for ADP for eligible claims.
