Mental Health Practitioners
Includes the services of the following licensed mental health professionals:
- Behaviour Analyst/Therapist
- Counsellor, Social Worker
- Master of Social Work (MSW)
- Psychoanalyst
- Psychologist
- Psychotherapist
A Marriage/Family Counsellor is eligible if they have a designation of one of the above licensed Mental Health Practitioners.
Coverage can be used on GreenShield’s Digital Mental Health Services (information below).
$800 combined maximum, per calendar year
Subject to the reasonable and customary (R&C) hourly limit.
What’s NOT Included
Does not include the services of a:
- Psychoeducator
- Psychological assessment
- Psychiatrist
- Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Counsellor
- Wellness education program
GreenShield’s Digital Mental Health Services
The UA Local 67 Benefits Health & Welfare Plan provider, GreenShield, offers two online mental health services that help individuals deal with their anxiety and/or depression. Both of these programs are eligible to be covered under your mental health combined maximum.
Tranquility by Inkblot
Tranquility by Inkblot is a self-guided or coach-assisted internet-based Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (iCBT) program that has been shown to be effective in improving outcomes and reducing symptoms of mild to moderate anxiety and depression.
MindBeacon Therapists
MindBeacon is a therapist guided program. You sign up, a therapist creates a personalized 6-12 week plan to help you develop the skills and resources to thrive.

Member Assistance Program (MAP)
The MAP provides members and their families with immediate, confidential (within the limits of the law), and free help for any work, health, or life concern. The MAP offers a series of sessions with a wellness or mental health professional by phone, web, or mobile app.

UA Canada Pregnancy Benefit
The UA’s Pregnancy Benefit allows pregnant members paid time off from a work environment that could pose a risk to themselves and their unborn child without having to exhaust their EI benefit.
UA Canada Maternity and Parental SUB
In addition to the UA Local 67 Benefits maternity/paternity Supplemental Unemployment Benefit (SUB), the UA union offers a Maternity/Parental SUB that can be received at the same time.
Benevolent Fund Benefits
UA Local 67 Benevolent Fund benefits offer financial support for members in times of need, such as during sickness, bereavement, or arranging a burial/funeral.

De Novo is an alcohol and drug addiction program offering a variety of treatment services.
