Are You in Need of Travel Medical Emergency Assistance?

In the event you or your eligible dependent has a medical emergency while you are travelling, you — or someone acting on your behalf — MUST call Travel Guard immediately or as soon as you are medically able to do so.

They are there to help you 24/7, such as locating an appropriate hospital and adequate medical treatment, and often negotiating fees. Failure to notify Travel Guard prior to treatment could affect your reimbursement or mean unexpected out-of-pocket costs for you.

To access your AIG Travel Assistance app, register using the AIG Policy Number 942604.

Review your Travel Medical Insurance brochure/policy for full details on what is included in your coverage and what is excluded from your policy as well as eligibility.

Ensure you are covered and will remain in benefit in the month(s) you are planning to travel. If required, make any payments.

Not sure? Contact the UA Local 67 Benefits Team.

Consider carefully if your Travel Medical Insurance meets your needs based on what the policy will and will not cover (e.g., trip cancellation/interruption, baggage, non-stable pre-existing conditions). Review if any of the policy’s exclusions and limitations apply to you, or if you have a pre-existing condition that doesn’t meet the insurer’s stability definition (and may not be covered).

If the coverage does not meet your family’s needs, you may want to purchase additional insurance.
